!GIVEAWAY! Safe With Me: The Complete Series (erotic romance) by: Shaina Richmond 4 WINNERS!

Tyler & Susie

!GIVEAWAY!

4 Lucky Winners will be gifted an ecopy of
Safe With Me: The Complete Series
(erotic romance)
by Shaina Richmond

Book Description:
Themes: graphic sex, intense emotions, flawed characters, jealous hero, illegal drug use, anti-heroine, promiscuous behavior, light spanking. Approximately 890 pages.

Tyler Campbell only went to college to get away from home. He didn't know the love of his life would find him in a coffee shop and become his obsession.

Susie Lombardi thought good things like Tyler Campbell didn't happen to her.

My Thoughts:
Safe With Me is my FAVORITE EROTIC ROMANCE! I love this story and its characters for so many different reasons.

To list a few:

I love that the lead characters are non-traditional college students, in their mid-twenties, not naive fresh out of high school kids. Life experience adds substance to a person and neither character is lacking in life experience nor substance.

Although Susie Lombardi is internally deeply flawed, outwardly she's is the most loving and generous person to others'. Yet, she denies herself the one thing that she is in desperate need and deserving of, love.

I love that she's not your average tiny size 0 lead female character. She's confident and comfortable in her skin, which is unbelievably sexy and beautiful.

Tyler is flawed in his own ways too, but amazing just the same. The thing that I love most about Tyler is that he truly, madly, deeply loves Susie regardless of her peculiarities, flaws, doubts, and fears.

Susie & Tyler's story is one that will consume you and stay with you long after you've finished the book.

Their story is hot, sexy, intense, emotional, and FREAKING FANTASTIC!

Review: The Party (Novella) by Katie Ashley FREE at Smashwords.com

The Party
By: Katie Ashley
Novella
Prequel to The Proposition

Get The Party for FREE at smashwords.com

My Thoughts:

The Party is a Novella, a prequel to The Proposition. I would recommend reading The Proposition & The Proposal first then revisit the character's in The Party and see what their lives were like before The Proposition took place. By reading The Party last you will have already developed a connection with Emma & Aidan and will have a greater appreciation for how much they grew as individuals and as a couple throughout the first two books.

The Party gives us a nice bit of insight as to what Emma & Aidan were up to in the months before The Proposition. And what went on during that infamous office Christmas party. All I can say about that is, Go Emma! She's my kind of woman. I do love Aidan too, but I especially love Emma for bringing out the good in Aidan and helping him realize he is worthy of love.

I was a bit surprised by what both characters were doing in The Party, although they had their distinct personalities their actions weren't exactly what I thought they would be. Even though Aidan has his I don't do 'family' attitude he loves them and they love him, which was evident in The Party. Emma and Connor's situation kind of threw me for a loop. I was somewhat surprised with her all or nothing ultimatum. Poor Connor he was getting it from both sides. I felt bad for the guy.

I grew to love Emma & Aidan in the first two books. Well, it really took until the second book before to truly fell for Aidan, lol. But, I connected with Emma right away. It was fun getting to see little bit more of them in The Party, even if it was pre-proposition. I love them as individuals and as a couple, so I'll take them either way.

They're an adorable couple: Funny, Attractive, and Sexy! Their love story truly is beautiful. I'm quite fond of it and of them. If you haven't already I highly recommend you read The Proposition, The Proposal, and The Party by Katie Ashley! You won't be disappointed ;)

Blog Tour, Review & Giveaway: Second Chance Romance by Sophie Monroe

Second Chance Romance
By Sophie Monroe
Blog Tour
The Super Sexy Cover!

Synopsis:
Julia Kline, known by her friends as Jules, had a rough time growing up with a dad that travelled constantly and a mom that was anything but a mother.
When she’s six she meets her new neighbor Noah Sinclair. The pair quickly become best friends. He looks after her and when they're teenagers their relationship turns romantic. They didn’t account for Jules’ malicious mother stepping in and tearing them apart. Leaving Jules broken hearted.

Present Day:
Jules is going for her master's degree and working as exotic dancer at a high-end gentleman’s club to pay for it. She lives with her best friend from boarding school Ellie, who’s also a dancer. When her boss informs them that the club has been rented out for a bachelor party she thinks it will be just like any other night until she walks out on stage and sees Noah Sinclair. The boy that broke his promises and her heart. To make things worse he’s the bachelor. He tries to get her to talk to him but she’s stronger now and blows him off. But he wants answers too. Throw in a crazy fiancé, a couple of hilarious best friends and enjoy the ride. Will Noah and Jules get their second chance or will the past decide the future?

My Review (5 Stars!):

Second Chance Romance is a love story about, as you may have guessed it, a second chance at romance. I really do appreciate a book title that doesn't leave you guessing or confused.

The prologue provides us with just the right amount back story to understand the relationship between the two main characters. Julia Kline (Jules) and Noah Sinclair met as young children. They became instant best friends.
Their friendship evolved into more during their teenage years. They were inseparable until Jules mother forces her to move away with her to New York.
The night before Jules has to leave, Jules and Noah give themselves to each other completely for the first time. They vow to never lose contact despite the distance between them, but ill-fated circumstances make that promise impossible to keep, leaving them both confused and heatbroken.
Jules wench of a mother is selfish, hateful and vindictive. She's determined to intervene in their relationship, making sure they never see or speak to each other again. She is a dispicale mother who depises her child and wants to make that suffer, just as she feels like Jules has made her suffer.
What happens next is atrocious, but I will not be spilling the beans in this review. You'll have to read and discover the juicy details for yourself, but trust me it's horrible. It causes a lot of pain and scarring that will never completely fade.
Ten years later...a beautifully broken and damaged Jules is making her way through life. Doing what she has to, to survive on her own. A chance encounter with a ghost from her past, brings her to a screeching halt...
Re-enters Noah Sinclair, her Noah. As emotions flood Jules, she wants nothing more than to run, to get far away from him. The guy she loved and trusted more than anyone in this world; the guy who lied to her and who broke her heart in to so many pieces it is permantley damaged (or so she thought).
They have tried for ten years to forget each other, but it's impossible to forget your soul mate, which becomes evident to them as soon as their eyes meet. All the pain and heartache is still there, but isn't enough to keep them from wanting and needing each other. As they reconnect they learn being apart was not what either of them wanted. Their disconnect was created by the hands of someone else, Abigail Kline.

Throughout the story, Jules and Noah's love endures many tests. In the end their true undying love prevails. Second Chance Romance is a roller coaster of emotions. The story line is intriguing, keeping you wanting more. The characters are realistic and likable(likable, minus two evil wenches), although they are a crucial part of Jules & Noah's story. It's an easy read that flows nicely. I truly loved this book from beginning to end. Sophie did a wonderful job of giving us, the readers, just the right amount of back story and future story in the prologue and epilogue. The epilogue is fantastic. For me as a reader, it's important to know what comes of the struggles that the characters were faced with. I need that closure in a stand alone book or I need a sequel soon after to complete the story. Second Chance Romance provides me with just the perfect closure.

1st Month of Blogging and Other News

Kindred Souls Book Blog has been an official book blog for a good month now. I've already learned so much about the blogging world and there is much much more still to learn. Everyday I obtain a new piece of information, but little by little I'm grasping the concept, the ins and outs. And enjoying myself along the way!

Some things I've learned thus far about blogging:
  1. It's Work, enjoyable and fun, but work none the less!
  2. It's Time Consuming, you have to devote a lot of time and effort.
  3. It's not easy getting your name out there, but other bloggers, book lovers, and authors are for the most part receptive and welcoming to new comers like myself.
Kindred Souls has a lot of exciting stuff on the schedule!

Thank you to all my book loving friends for viewing Kindred Souls Book Blog, the support is greatly appreciated! If you don't already be sure to 'like' Kindred Souls on facebook:

Review: The Proposal by Katie Ashley

The Proposal
By: Katie Ashley

My Review(5 Superb Stars!):
The Proposal is the sequel to The Proposition. It picks up right where we left off, Aidan wallowing in his self-inflicted misery. He made an epic mistake, one that he will regret for the rest of his life. He had himself convinced that he'd do it all along because that's what he always does. He f*cked up the best thing that's ever happened to him.

We get to see much more of who Aidan really is in The Proposal. Aidan carries around a tremendous amount of guilt and pain from his past. His womanizing ways are a merely an armor of protection, a shield he hides behind, for fear that he may be more to someone than sex and that they may be more to him than sex. His past left him damaged and continues to haunt him.

(Beautifully Damaged Aidan in a world of hurt without his Em.)

Aidan's family supports him and wants him to rectify his wrong doing. They love Emma and know that she is the best thing that's ever has ever happened to Aidan. I absolutely adore Aidan's father Patrick! I love the way he gives Aidan tough love. He burns his ass up constantly and it is hilarious. He eats my heart up... <3 font="">

He certainly met his match with Emma Harrison. He's going to have to work double time to regain her trust. But, just like us, the readers, Emma doesn't fully understand Aidan at this point in their story. He has to man up and find the courage to share that part of himself with her, but first he has to get her to speak to him again.

After some persuasion, Emma agrees to meet with Aidan and listen to what he has to say. Aidan spews his deep dark secrets that he's kept locked way inside himself. The secrets have been there like a poison to his soul for far too long. They've negatively impacted his entire life and sadly his image of self-worth.

By sharing himself completely with Emma gave her a better understanding of what's at the root of his behavior, not that it excuses him. By no means does it give him a get out of trouble free card. It does not completely redeem him of his wrong doing, but it's a great start. Aidan's prepared to do the work it takes to win her back and then some. In fact I'm pretty certain he's prepared to spend the rest of his life making it up to her.

Emma & Aidan's relationship is faced with many obstacles, one tall, dark, handsome, kind and wealthy one in particular...Seriously, oh no! :/ A quick little quote from this point in the story. When tall, dark and handsome come to pick Emma up, Aidan says to him: "Take Care of My Girl." This quote along the fact that he loved her enough to let her explore and discover what she wanted in life, made me love him just that much more. He did this because when she makes her decision, he doesn't want her to have any 'what ifs' lingering in her mind. He wants all of her forever.

Luckily for Aidan, Emma's a beautiful and honorable person. She'll do what's right always.

Emma's heart Belongs to Aidan...
(Emma on their Wedding Day)

And with that comes first and foremost, forgiveness, then a proposal, a wedding, and Noah! There is much much more to the story, but as much as want to, I won't spoil it by giving all the juicy details. I will say there's a special little surprise in the epilogue, but you'll have to read it to find out for yourself what it is.
(Oh My Cuteness! It's Emma & Aidan's Adorable Little Red Headed Son, Noah Fitzgerald!)

Emma & Aidan's story is one of struggle, pain, discovery, healing and enduring love; it is heart touching. To see them come full circle as individuals, as a couple, then spouses, and parents makes for a very pleased reader.

I loved The Proposition, but I really really loved The Proposal because it gave me everything I needed. I finished as a satisfied reader and that puts a smile on my face :)

Katie Ashley did a superb job tying up all the loose ends of this story, creating a nice neatly wrapped enjoyable package!

A Few of My Favorite Quotes:

"Please, Em. I love you so much it hurts. I ache for you in my soul. Please...I can't live without you. I want to be with you every minute of every day. I want to marry you and make a life with you. I want to raise Noah and be a family together. Please...please say you want to be with me forever." ~Aidan

"Stop beating yourself up. You made a mistake, and now it's forgiven." ~Emma

"Don't ever think Noah's in the way. He will always be the string that ties us together. He's our love growin inside you. He may not be the reason why I fell in love with you, but he's the reason why I got another chance at life." He gaver her a deep lingering kiss. "You saved me, Emma." ~Aidan

Review: The Proposition by Katie Ashley

The Proposition
By: Katie Ashley

The Proposition and The Proposal had been sitting on my TBR listfor a while. After hearing other book lovers rave about how good they are and several people suggesting the books to me. I decided it was time to bump those babies up to the top of the list, which turned out to be a wise decision.

My Review of The Proposition:
(5 Amazingly Good Stars)

Beautiful Emma Harrison (Amy Adams)
Emma Harrison is an intelligent, kind, loving and beautiful woman. Everyone seems to love Emma; I love Emma because she's tender and loving, but she's also strong willed and determined. She very much embodies the wholesome, good girl persona. She's a natural beauty inside and out.

She knows what she wants; she knows what she deserves and she doesn't plan on taking anything less.

In the past four years she's suffered tremendous loss. Two of the most important people in her life passed away. After experiencing extreme heartache, she is desperate to move forward with her life and have a child of her own.

Her best friend since middle school, Conner Montgomery agrees to be her sperm donor, but ends up backing out. His partner is not ready for children and doesn't want Conner fathering her child.

Emma is single and has had nothing but bad luck with dating. She doesn't want to use a sperm bank; she'd rather know the man personally.
Gorgeous Adian Fitzgerald (Jensen Ackles)
Aidan Fitzgerald is the vice president of marketing at the company Emma works for. Aidan has a reputation among the women in their workplace as a womanizing, man whore. Emma's other best friend and colleague Casey forewarns her to stay away from him, but Aidan doesn't get that memo and even if he did, I don't think he'd listen to it.

Turns out, Aidan can give Emma exactly what she desperately desires and Emma can do the same for him.

When Aidan gets his chance, he propositions her with just the plan that will benefit each of them equally. Emma is reluctant to take him up on his offer, but eventually agrees convincing herself that she will be able to separate sex and heart.

Emma is completely different from all the other women Aidan's dated, in a good way. He wants her and that want quickly turns to need, which scares the hell out of him. The chemistry between them is undeniable and they both know it.

Adian is good looking and full of himself; he is shamelessly arrogant. He possesses many of the non-husband material characteristics that Emma detest, but the more time she spends with him, the more she realizes he is not exactly what his reputation claims he is...Sex and heart being to mesh.

This book starts off fast, there is no hem hawing around, which I love and appreciate so so much! There is just the right amount of back story in the first two chapters that the story easily flows right into the situation at hand, Emma's desire to be a mother. We learn more of Aidan's back story in The Proposal, which explains a lot about his behaviors and actions.

I loved everything about this book, the story line, the characters, and how Emma and Aidan have this hilarious back and forth dialogue between them. They really are a cute/hot/sexy couple that we want together.

I was a happy reader right up until the last few chapters when all hell broke loose, which left me furious at Aidan Fitzgerald...
This quote directed at Aidan, sums it up:
"Aidan you're a F*cking Bastard!"

Adian wallowing in his self-inflicted misery :(

Emma at the end of The Proposition :(

A Few of My Favorite Quotes:

"Have you ever wanted something so bad you think you'd die if you didn't have it? That the mere thought of it keeps you up at night. You can't sleep, you can't eat, you can't drink. You are so consumed by that desire nothing else matters, and you're not sure life is worth living if you can't have it." ~Emma

"You're like a paradox to me. One minute you're like this fragile flower and the next you;re tough as unflinching steel." ~Aidan

"You make me feel too much...I'm just supposed to use you for sex like you use me." ~Emma

To sum it up, The Proposition is FANTASTIC
Definitely a MUST READ!
Be forewarned you will immediately want/need to start
The Proposal. =)

Hard to Resist

By Shanora Williams

Release Date: February 21, 2013

My Review: 4 Fantastic Stars!
Natalie and Nolan have something in common, they both know the excruciating pain of heartbreak, having had their hearts busted into pieces by someone they loved and trusted. The difference between Nat and Nolan is the way they handled their heartbreak. Although, neither way seemed to keep them from the pain, it does bring them to their chance encounter. That one chance encounter is all it takes.

No matter how much Nat tries to convince herself, she can't help, but want Nolan. Nolan makes no buts about his desire to be with Nat. He is determined to have her. She is resistant to let herself give someone else her heart because she knows that makes her vulnerable to having her heartbroke again. Nolan is understanding and patient, he knows his trust has to be earned.

When Nat gets an unexpected visit from her past, her thoughts begin to change. After seeing the person she thought she loved for years, the person that broke her heart, she realizes that things were different than they seemed.

Being with Nolan takes on a whole new meaning and from that point on she no longer resists him. Allowing their relationship to flow naturally they both find their way. Although, they are faced with another obstacle in their relationship, after the initial upset, it doesn't pose as much of a threat to...

After all, true love never fails.

Hard to Resist is a beautiful love story with heartbreak, pain, healing, and learning to love again. The storyline is solid and comes together quite well. I really enjoyed the entire story, but I am particularly fond of the last half. Shanora did a great job seeing that the characters come full circle.

I love Nolan for his honesty, his desire and determination to be better for Nat. And I love Nat for not allowing her past to rule her future, for being strong, and not letting fear keep her from what she deserves.

Kudos to Author Shanora Williams for developing a beautifully realistic love story. I very much enjoyed this read and cannot wait for the 2nd book to see where Nat & Nolan take their relationship!

I recommend Hard to Resist to all!

My Favorite Quotes
"I want to be hard to resist and hard to let go of." ~Nat

"Like I said, I've sort of been through what you're going through. And although I was terrible at dealing with it, I learned how to get over it. That's something that I can help you with, but that's only if you let me in. Right now, I'm stuck on the outer part of you. Your interior is where I want to be. I'm sure it will take me time but you have to work with me, Natalie. Don't hold off anymore. Okay?" ~Nolan

"I seriously want this to work. I've never wanted someone this damn bad. I have to keep you" ~Nolan
