I read a LOT of books and there are very few that I take out to read again and again. Paint Me Beautiful by C.M. Stunich is one of them.
Claires' story captivated me from the beginning. Her journey is not an easy one. It is fraught with pain, full of disturbing self images, anorexia, bulimia and mental illness to name a few. But, it is also a story of the discovery of unconditional love.
In my humble opinion this is a must read. It is insightful and compelling, a challenge if you will. Hopefully you will take something positive from the words C.M. has used to tell this story and maybe even learn something new about yourself as well.I know I did.
If you believe your life is the sum total of your choices,
what do you do when things just don’t add up? You are about to find out. It
won’t be pretty. It won’t be dull. And surely, it won’t be safe. In fact,
making just one wrong choice could put evil at your bedside watching you sleep.
And so it is with Kate Simmons, a young woman who, by
choosing to regain her life, actually puts it at risk by the very choices she
makes. After unimaginable heartbreak stops her world on a dime, Kate falls into
a three-year blackness of self blame that brings her to the edge of life,
itself. As time finally brings light back through tiny cracks of renewed
desire, Kate moves out of the prison she made for
herself in her mother’s home to find a new reality, rooming with her best
girlfriend, Charlie.
Yet, to be free is to be
vulnerable, and Kate’s choices more than ever mark a splattered line between
being happy and being dead.
Care to choose? Here’s your menu:
A strangely alluring building
manager so possessed with wanting you for his own, he’ll bury more than the
fact he has a girlfriend; a buff college student for whom you are clearly hot,
as are all the other girls on campus; a pushy lawyer who is as handsome as he
is intoxicated with conquest, who doesn’t take no for an answer, who gets what
he wants — always.
Sometimes, it’s whom you
choose. Sometimes, it’s who chooses you. If you’re Kate, it’s both, and it puts
you on a perilous road where good looks and humor are the thin masks of jealous
delusion and utter violence.
You’re in trouble when the sum
total of your choices is written in blood red.
Celyse
hides her secret fantasies because good girls don’t long for the kink she
dreams about. When her subconscious cravings continue to cause sleepless nights,
she takes the biggest step of her life and seeks out a local BDSM club. She’s
horrified and enthralled, but too prudish to admit this is the life her mind
and body desire. She’s not like these people, or is she?
The club’s
owner has seen her response before and gives Celyse a folded piece of paper
with an address, a date, and time. She finds herself knocking…
Damon waits
on the other side of the door. Dominant, arrogant, and lonely—he’s looking for
the perfect submissive to cater to his desires and share the lifestyle he
relishes.
Is Celyse
the one? Is Damon the missing puzzle piece that will allow Celyse to release
her inhibitions and embrace her kinky side? Or will tragedy keep Damon from Claiming
Celyse?

During
the day I work as a senior portrait photographer and a graphic designer. I'm
also a college student who loves zombies, vampires, and werewolves. Anything
supernatural I am drawn to along with Starbucks frapes! I spend my free time
watching The Vampire Diaries and True Blood.
My favorite genre to write is erotica and it's strongly recommended by my
readers to make sure you have your sham wow panties on because my stories will
leave you with moisture in the very best of places.
My Rating:5 out of 5 stars Sexuality meets sensuality is two words I would use to describe What Lies under
the Weeping Willow - Passion. The characters are true to life and the storyline is
inviting of wanting more and more of the passion and sensuality that waits
behind every turn of the page. I found myself drawn to Brooke's character and
experiencing every raw emotion she did. Abbey K. Davies, who is a brand-new author to the romance genre, really knows how to draw
in the reader with her vivid imagination that brings these characters to life
that heightens our fantasies and desires of wanting even more to a whole new
level. ~Reviewed Teresa, Guest Reviewer Series Book 1: What Lies Under The Weeping Willow - PASSION Book 2: What Lies Under The Weeping Willow - REVENGE (Link below) Author Link: http://www.amazon.com/Abbey-K-Davies/e/B00B6AEPDG/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1?qid=1370090479&sr=1-1 Amazon Purchase Link, What Lies Under The Weeping Willow - PASSION: http://www.amazon.com/Under-Weeping-Willow-PASSION-ebook/dp/B009CKE49W/ref=pd_sim_kstore_1 Amazon Purchase Link, What Lies Under The Weeping Willow - REVENGE: http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&field-keywords=What%2BLies%2BUnder%2BThe%2BWeeping%2BWillow-%2BREVENGE&search-alias=stripbooks Goodreads Links: What Lies Under The Weeping Willow - PASSION: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16148596-what-lies-under-the-weeping-willow What Lies Under The Weeping Willow - REVENGE: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17843513-what-lies-under-the-weeping-willow--revenge
I really enjoyed this book. It is the perfect summer beach read. Jake, a very hot tatted, pierced rock god and jaded front man for the band Battlescars meets unconventional Aubrey. She isn' t impressed with him like other girls. Words and sparks fly, but despite the attraction between them they both learn that trust has to be earned. ~Reviewed Debra, Guest Reviewer Afflicted (Battlescars II) now available, link below. Keeping secrets is easy; not
falling in love is the hard part. Running
away from her past Seven was bound and determined to make a new life. She moved
halfway across the country to a school where she hoped to fly under the radar.
What could possibly go wrong if she just kept her life quiet?
Stone has no interest in
commitment. Dating always seemed to lead to broken promises and heartbreak,
keeping it simple was easier on everyone. But then in the middle of his crazy
world he meets this girl, and somehow the universe aligns leaving him wanting
more. How can he make her see that it’s okay to trust again; how does he
combine his two lives and make both of them worthy enough to be with her?
If love is all that someone needs, then why are there so
many broken souls in this world? Can one individual really make a change for
the better and make peace within themselves and others? When two souls collide
can they save each other?
